“He had delusions, hallucinations, weight loss, aggression, repetitive speech,” Ellis’ son Steve told the BBC.

At first, Ellis’ doctors suspected it was a case of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), a fatal and rare degenerative brain disorder.
