Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have picked up the patronages of several charities as the Queen started offloading her duties and since Prince Philip retired in 2017.

"Over the last five years or so, Will and Kate, and Harry and Meghan have tended to concentrate on a small number of causes like mental health and the environment and conservation.

William and Kate have long been outspoken advocates for better mental health discourse and support several charities focused on mental health debate.

Over the past few years, Her Majesty also entrusted the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with an increasing number of charities she used to patron.

Mr Dampier continued: "There are so many charities and causes and patronages and organisations the Queen and Prince Philip have that it’s going to be a great shame if a lot of those fall on the side.

With the Queen in isolation with Prince Philip at Windsor Castle, and Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall in Scotland for the time being, Kate and William have taken on a large number of virtual duties

During the lockdown, the Duke of Cambridge concluded the filming of a BBC documentary aimed at improving the debate on mental health called 'Football, Prince William and Mental Health.'
