20th Century Studios’ film, which cost a reported budget of at least $100 million, pulled in just $4.8 million in its opening weekend across 3,065 locations – half the amount of early estimates.

The audience CinemaScore of B+ is decent but not as high as it could (or needs to) be.

The film’s underwhelming response is being chalked up to the hesitancy of older audiences to return to the multiplex as COVID-19 still powers on in some places.
