A Gold Coast business is in a David vs Goliath battle after receiving a legal letter from a company owned by the richest man in the world, over a four-letter word in its name.

Kenzo is one of 75 luxury brands that are part of multinational Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) group, which is owned by the newly minted richest man in the world, Bernard Arnault.

Patent lawyer, Sharon Givoni, said there are key differences in the two business names that would allow Daghmash to fight Kenzo's demands, but only if she can afford the legal fees.
