Police treating death of young Queensland woman as suspicious - 9News

The family of a Queensland woman who died under suspicious circumstances are "extremely distressed" by the loss of their loved one.

The 19-year-old was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, where she died on Sunday night.

Detectives have also examined the Bundamba property, which Miller said is a standard protocol when there is not a known cause of death.

Miller said Monks' family has requested privacy as they grieve their loved one.

Queensland Police detective superintendent Larissa Miller said Monks' family is "extremely distressed by the loss of their loved one".
