Robert Pattinson attempted to lie to Christopher Nolan about his Batman audition - 9TheFIX

Robert Pattinson got caught out in a lie by director Christopher Nolan when he was scheduled to audition for the role of Batman in the upcoming film.

Pattinson was filming for Nolan's movie Tenet when the audition came around, and told the director he had a "family emergency".

"And then I had to be really secretive about Batman stuff.

"I think whenever you bring in stuff from a previous movie into the next one, it's always so disastrous," he told NME on January 30.
