Anthony Field confident new Yellow Wiggle can fill big shoes left by Emma Watkins.

Days after Emma Watkins announced she would leave The Wiggles at the end of the year, Blue Wiggle Anthony Field told the ABC the sky was the limit for her replacement as the band entered a new era.

Field, 58, is the last founding member of The Wiggles who is still with the band on a full-time basis.

Field told the ABC he believed fans would embrace Hawkins as the new Yellow Wiggle and continue to love the band.

"With the Wiggles, she really educated us all about how to communicate with Auslan in Australia," he said.

Emma's contribution through Auslan was a cornerstone of what Field said was the greatest success of the band?

He said The Wiggles' ability to communicate with children and entertain them for 30 years was more important than the group's financial success?

Despite being the only founding member still involved permanently, Field said he had no interest in stepping away any time soon

"I really do enjoy playing music, so with The Wiggles on tour I get to play music and I still love that," he said
