The Queensland Government is launching its biggest COVID vaccination blitz to date, with schools across the state preparing to become pop-up vaccination hubs this weekend.

The government says it's concentrating on areas with low vaccination uptake — that includes areas in Cairns, Townsville, Wide Bay, Central Queensland, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Metro South and Metro North.
