COVID vaccine: Australia on track to pass 90pc full vaccination

The United States has a full vaccination rate of about 55 per cent and an Oxford University tracker puts the global full vaccination rate at below 33 per cent.

The state is still below 50 per cent fully vaccinated, lagging the national rate of 52 per cent.

Now 76.12 per cent of adults 16 and older have had at least one dose and 51.82 per cent are fully vaccinated.

In a scathing report on Monday, the Disability Royal Commission said the Health Department failed to consult with people with disability, support workers, service providers and advocates.

“This directly affected people with disability by curtailing their access to vaccines,” the report said.

The report said the absence of essential information left people with disability and their advocates without the opportunity “to challenge or protest against the decision to defer the vaccination of people with disability in phase 1a of the strategy”
