“With this Delta variant we are seeing multiple cases in residential settings including apartment complexes and just yesterday our continued investigations of positive cases and their movements turned our focus to an apartment complex in the Docklands,” he told reporters on Saturday afternoon.

Professor Sutton said residents would be contacted throughout the day on Saturday to give them a time to attend a pop-up testing clinic.

More than 22,000 people across the state were in isolation as Victoria recorded 12 new local cases on Saturday.
