During Channel 4's royal documentary 'Diana: The Truth Behind the Interview' it was claimed that Prince Charles recorded two versions of his interview.
Royal expert Max Hastings claimed the Prince of Wales should have been advised not to confess to the affair. .
The documentary states that Prince Charles was not sure that he should confess.
The Prince of Wales recorded two interviews, in the first one at Windsor which was never broadcast, Charles would not admit to adultery.
However, according to the documentary, Charles changed his mind and a few days later a film crew was summoned to Highgrove where he made his reluctant confession.
