Blitzboks bounce back to beat Spain at France Sevens

',="" sans-serif;"="">The Blitzboks have come back with a win against Spain in their second Pool D encounter at the France Sevens at Stade Ernest-Wallon in Toulouse on Friday.

The win comes off the back of their historic loss against Ireland earlier in the day, where the Irish won 21-12 to record their first-ever win over the Blitzboks in World Rugby Sevens Series history.

The Blitzboks will tackle Samoa in their final pool match on Saturday (12:22 SA time) and will need to defeat them in order to proceed to the Cup quarter-finals.

The Blitzboks might have to do so without playmaker Dewald Human though, who will have to be declared fit from a head injury assessment before he can play against Samoa.

"It can easily come down to points' difference tomorrow, so we have no option but to beat Samoa," said Powell.

If Spain beat Ireland, South Africa will still have to beat Samoa, but the points difference will not be important

If Ireland win, the Blitzboks will know exactly by how much they need to beat Samoa by to make it into the top eight
