'Beautiful and healthy' young woman died suddenly on dream work trip in Australia - Liverpool Echo

Her death was was caused by Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS), a genetic heart condition that can cause sudden death but often goes unnoticed when the person is young and healthy.

Jessica's death in August 2019 left her family and friends devastated as they paid tribute to the "extraordinary" and "bubbly" woman.

As the family approach the first anniversary of Jessica's death, her loved ones are preparing to undertake a 230 mile bike ride in her memory.

"However, as she was a St Helens girl at heart, it seemed a fitting tribute to link the two places together through the memorial bike ride challenge.".

The team will be setting off from Jessica's family home on August 27 and will arrive in Edinburgh on August 31 which would have been Jessica's 26th birthday.
