As you might recall, Nintendo released a "limited-time" battle royale title called Super Mario Bros.
If it wasn't already hard enough for fans of this short-lived release, Nintendo has now used the same title in a Japanese customer support tweet about how to delete games you no longer play (or in this case, can no longer access) on the Switch.
As useless as this Mario icon might be nowadays, a lot of users don't seem to be able to bring themselves to delete the game from their Switch home menu.
And while it makes sense for Nintendo to use Super Mario Bros.
Have you deleted Super Mario Bros.
When he’s not paying off a loan to Tom Nook, Liam likes to report on the latest Nintendo news and admire his library of video games.
They just haaad to rub salt on the wound!
They just haaaaaaad to.
I recently re-downloaded all of my games on to my new Switch OLED, and it allowed me to re-download this one too?
I mean...why keep something that you can’t play.
I delete it long time ago, that 35th anniversary was a crappy anniversary anyways?
I am never deleting my digital copy of Super Mario Bros.
I delete demos and such all the time, but I can't bring myself to remove Mario 35.
Nintendo should've put that banger in Smash Bros?
The fact that they're using it as the game to delete though.
That's just mean.
Who doesn't know how to delete a game.
If they do ever decide to bring it back online, I can just redownload it!
I am still holding on to a fool's hope that they will bring Super Mario 35 back someday!
It's almost as if Nintendo thinks their player base are nothing but stupid toddlers who can't operate a game controller.
On the plus side, we are getting close to Super Mario 40.
I'm just going to go sulk in the corner now, thanks.
i didnt delete it and I probably never will.
I got my switch when it only had 2 days left to play, was rather disappointing to only get a few matches in because I didn't want to play more and get attached before it was gone.
You can't slam Konami for PT while giving Nintendo the pass for Super Mario 35
And for an online game that uses significantly less players than the other 99-style games, for one of the most iconic games of all time
Just delete it to make some space right?"
Nintendo sadly still sees games as deposable toys
So you can bet that with Switch 2 they just delete the current eshop and start from scratch yet again
Poof, thousands of games gone
