Strictly’s Nadiya Bychkova opens up on ‘disappointment’ at lack of celebrity partner

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, after Saturday nights glitzy launch show the Ukrainian beauty opened up to her 23.1 thousand followers.

She then commented on her own post adding: “I’m also looking forward to supporting my fellow pros and I want to wish all the couples the best of luck for the competition this year.”

A user called @AndrewVulpes wrote: “I'm really disappointed - I love all the pros but you are unique and special, and since your magic partnership with @mrdanwalker I've really wanted you to have another great series and maybe even lift the glitterball trophy... anyone would be lucky to get to dance with you!

On hearing that she wouldn’t have a celebrity pairing this year Channel 5 newsreader Dan leapt to her defence saying it was “like putting Messi on the bench for the World Cup final”.
