While in the waiting room at the medical facility, the star, 53, revealed she was having the breast cancer scan and made a joke about the procedure.  .

In the UK, according to the NHS, all women aged between 50-71 are invited for breast cancer screening every 3 years.

Screening is a procedure which allows doctors to catch breast cancer while it is still in its infancy and therefore easier to treat.

It is used to look for signs of breast cancer in women who don't have any breast symptoms or problems. .

Mammograms can also be used to look at a woman's breast if she has breast symptoms or if a change is seen on a screening mammogram. .
