It's election season in India and various men and women along with celebrities are stepping out to cast their votes for the deserving candidates in their area. Many celebrities are seen encouraging people to vote in this 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. Celebrities across India have urged people to exercise their right to vote by sharing their pictures of an inked finger with messages. Right now, India is in the Third phase of the Lok Sabha Elections and the states in which voting is being contested is Kerela, Karnataka, Gujrat and Goa. A few hours ago we shared with you how Thala Ajith and wife Shalini experienced the wrath of two ladies when he received special treatment as he dropped by to vote. And now it seems another actor has caught up in the controversy.

We are talking about Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan. Just like others, the actor shared his picture with the inked finger on social media. The reason for the controversy is that the voter's list does not include Sivakarthikeyan's name. This means the actor has taken part in the elections despite missing his name from the list. As per a report in India Today, the voter's list did not include the name but at the request on the hands of the actor, the polling booth officials there gave the Remo actor 'special permission' to register his vote. If reports are to be believed, Sivakarthikeyan was allowed to vote after an argument. Sivakarthikeyan had shared his picture with caption, ''Voting is your right and fight for your right.'' Have a look at the picture here...

As soon as the said incident took place, Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo revealed to the reporters in Chennai saying, ''Sivakarthikeyan's name was not on the voter's list. He has voted despite that. This is a mistake on the part of the polling booth officials presents there. I have ordered for action against them."

Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, Robo Shankar and Ramesh Kanna were the Tamil celebrities whose names were missing from the voter's list. However, they were not allowed to vote. A voter ID card is issued to every citizen after their names are included in electoral rolls of their constituency. However, having a Voter ID card does not ensure one will be able to vote. It is mandatory for the person s name to appear in the electoral roll for him or her to vote. This is the second controversy that has cropped up in the day and with almost a month more to go, we wonder how many such cases will crop up.

Till then stay tuned to Bollywoodlife...
