343 has said crossplay, input-based matchmaking and custom game browser will all release for Halo: The Master Chief Collection in 2020.

In a blog post on Halo Waypoint, the developer provided a snapshot of the features the development team is working on and committed to for 2020.

Here's the list of features planned for release in 2020:.

343 recently released Halo 3 on PC as part of The Master Chief Collection, and it said it will release the ODST campaign and Halo 4 on PC, as well as ODST Firefight (with updated networking) on both Xbox and PC in 2020.

Other points of note in the update: ODST weapons are coming to Halo 3 - and vice versa.

Season 3 launches with ODST, and brings with it new Halo cosmetics.
