KANE COUNTY – The Illinois Department of Public Health announced a record daily high of 346 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, along with 5 more deaths from the virus.

Charles (60174 & 60175) – 135 cases, 1,434 tested; 68 cases, 793 tested

Aurora (60505 & 60506) – 1,484 cases, 4,677 tested; 819 cases, 3,852 tested

Elgin (60123) – 584 cases, 2,607 tested
