He claims that developer Cloud Chamber is aiming for a 2022 release and that the game will take place in a fictional Antarctic city during the 1960s – UK news outlet VGC claims to have heard similar.
Apparently the inclination there is that they understand full well that this game will be compared to what [BioShock creator] Ken Levine does.
While platforms for this upcoming game are yet to be revealed – there's always the possibility that BioShock 4 will skip Switch entirely, of course – Moriarty also claims that its story will be linked to past entries in the series.Even if Nintendo fans end up having to play the new title elsewhere, then, all those hours spent with the first three games on Switch will still come in handy?
Are you looking forward to the new BioShock. But yeah, no way there's gonna be a Switch port, haha.
I actually think it will come to Nintendo, whether it’s the switch or the new system that I think Bloomberg says a number of developers have kits for I don’t know.It could come to Switch if the 2022 release date is correct as the Switch is so dominant and I think the Bioshock trilogy has sold well on the Switch (correct me if I’m wrong) - Just hope it’s not a cloud version.
Edit: it’s a sherlock reference.yes I am looking forward to the game, but no way I am playing this on my Switch. If the gap between Bioshock's release & Switch port is consistent.
@Lordplops Bioshock fair, Prime 4 probably, Mario Kart 9 definitely but BOTW 2!There's a possibility that this game might come to the Switch...with an absurdly huge file size.At least Take-Two considers the Switch as a viable platform for many of their games.
Infinite and it’s DLC killed this IP so they’ll hard with Not-Rapture and endless references to the original game while ignoring or outright contradicting what Infinite said about it’s up it’s own ass interconnected multiverse which Levine cared about more than the actual world of the game which ended up being a gag.If it comes to Switch it'll be Cloud for sure I reckon.
It's unlikely that it's coming to Switch, and if the cloud is the only way, then it'd better not come at all.Yeah unless it’s a cloud version, I wouldn’t count in it coming to the Switch.@ModdedInkling the downside is that the games have a very large file size? But hey, I suppose it’s better than a cloud version even if the game is digital only!
Even NBA 2K file size on Switch is absurd but at least it is on par with the PS4 and Xbox One versions unlike a certain company with a particular soccer game.Couldn’t see it happening but then again it’s kinda too early to tell so we have to wait and see.
I got the first 3 games on their respective launch dates for PS3 and I own the collection for PS4 and Switch.
Even managed to get the platinum trophy for the first two games on PS3.
Been following BioShock 4 news since 2014 and can't wait for a proper reveal finally
Maybe as a cloud game
Still, it's a milestone to see more major Take-Two titles come to the SwitchAfter Infinite I'm not sure I want another Bioshock game, honestlyI expect a native PS5generation thing that will be a cloud game for switch at bestWith a game like Bioshock I really hope it just looks the best it can
Like I really don't hope that a new MP game would still have that whole door-to-load-next-room-mechanic, as the Swich probably doesn't need that
I also hope they find different ways to make the game interesting than always let the same enemies spawn in every room over and over again
And with Bioshock I do hope the same thing although after 1,2 and 3 I couldn't tell whats the common ground there and how better tech can actually impact gameplay
But after Infinite was still a PS3-gen game, I would really expect them to push the whole thing forward by going for new gen optimization
I'd hope for a lot of physics based stuff and dynamic elements as it would fit the whole setting and the previous games might feel a bit stiff and undynamic seen with today's eyes
This CAN come to Switch if the devs are willing to put in the effortI'd imagine it'd be one of the last cross-platform games for this generation, considering how long ago it was since the 3rd game
Development for this game would've easily been geared towards last-gen consoles, which gives some amount of hope that a Switch port is possible
