Christina Ricci was granted a domestic violence restraining order against husband James Heerdegen Wednesday in Los Angeles after telling the court she 'found herself trapped in a house with a violent abuser' amid the coronavirus lockdown.
Ricci, who is represented by lawyer Samantha Spector, submitted court photos of bruises and other injuries she said were a result of Heerdegen's attacks on her. .

The Santa Monica native said that Heerdegen, who she married in 2013, started his pattern of abuse in a December 2019 incident in which he beat her up, spit on her and mocked her with pig noises. .
In a subsequent attack, Ricci told the court that their son witnessed an attack in which Heerdegen spit on her and threw a chair and coffee in her direction. .
Ricci said in court docs that she was alarmed by a remark Heerdegen once made in her in late 2019, as Heerdegen 'said something that made me think that [he] could kill' her
