Good news, everyone: Elden Ring is still alive?
The developer took to Twitter in order to remind everyone that Elden Ring is still a thing.
"We hope you look forward to it," eh.
Hopefully we actually see something of the game in 2021, but until then, let us know if you're still looking forward to Elden Ring in the comments section below.
Somehow I doubt that just because GRRM is involved, Wigwog, Destroyer Of The Sand-People will have a deep, meaningful backstory where he actually raises orphans.
"We hope you look forward to it" has 24 letters, so I am predicting it is out in 24 months OR is delayed to 2024 OR will feature a remake in 24 years?
OOOOH ELDEN RING.
I don't get the concern, They only finished Sekiro just on a year ago.
To be honist I didn't expect to hear anything about Elden Ring for some time.
I stopped reading GOT books before the TV series released when It looked like GRRM would be dead long before anything was finished but I'd hope they'd just keep moving forward without him, much like the TV series did.
Looking forward to Elden Ring.
From Software as no equal, can’t wait to see a bit more of Elden ring.
@Arnna @TooBarFoo - The worry mostly comes from the simple fact that this is the longest a From game has gone from announcement to release by a long margin and it isn't helped that their last two games came out in a relatively short period of time from their announcements
Elden Ring was announced in June 2019 and it’s November 2020 now
I haven’t seen a release date yet but that’s only a year and a half so far
Dark Souls 3 had a 2 year development time and Bloodborne was 2.5 years
So another year maybe or a year and a half for Elden Ring
Dark Souls 3 official announcement June 2015 - Released March 2016 (less than a year between announcement and release)
Sekiro was teased Dec 2017, fully announced with gameplay in June 2018 and released just under a year later in March 2019
Elden Ring was announced June 2019 almost a year and a half and there has been nothing else
Following the previous pattern the game would've been out in March just before the pandemic went global
@Arnna Also, Bloodborne followed the same full announce in June, then release the following March
I think it’s also important to note that announcement to release is different from full development time
