Gordon Ramsay has revealed he's had knee surgery after injuring himself while on a run and been told he's got arthritis.

Gordon told the publication he'd needed surgery after recently injured himself while out exercising in lockdown London. .

And as if he's not busy enough, Gordon also revealed he's talked about the idea of doing a food-based show with good pal David Beckham.

Always on the go: Gordon is very active and often goes long bike rides, but said his doctor told him he 'needs to start slowing down' (pictured with youngest son Oscar last summer).

Friends: Singing his pal David's cookery and baking praises, Gordon also revealed he's talked about doing a food-based show with the former footballer (the Ramsay and Beckham broods are pictured together in 2018)

Gordon recently revealed he had to cancel over 22,000 bookings for his restaurants in December before England was plunged into its third lockdown

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, Gordon said he's planning to open up even more restaurants when lockdown is eased, following reports the government plan to allow pubs and restaurants to re-open in May.

Weeks later the government placed the entire country in lockdown, with not set date as to when pubs and restaurants can re-open

Looking ahead: The chef recently discussed the 'devastating' impact Covid has had on his restaurants and even said he's planning to open up even more when lockdown is eased

'It is tough but we will come out of this – we've re-created, re-developed and researched new ideas so when we come out of this lockdown we will open up as new restaurants

He said: 'It was developed via Zoom during lockdown this time last year, with the team spread out all over the country – I was in Cornwall with my beloved neighbours – and we got this high-pressured game to an amazing place.
