Gyms and restaurants ready to fully reopen in Santa Cruz County - KSBW Monterey

Santa Cruz County businesses are getting ready to allow their patrons to exercise and dine inside without a mask if they are fully vaccinated.

That includes fully vaccinated Californians not having to wear a mask while running on the treadmill at the gym or when walking into a restaurant.

Members can shed the mask only if they're fully vaccinated.

Opening up to full indoor capacity while ditching the mask rule for customers is also mounting excitement for Cafe Brasil in Santa Cruz.

It defeats the whole purpose of having a nice time," said Rafael Paixao, Cafe Brasil general manager.
