The next full moon won’t be the biggest or brightest of 2020, but it could be the spookiest.
We’ll also be seeing a so-called “blue moon,” meaning it will be the second full moon of the month (it also was full on Oct. 1).
In case you can’t get enough of this naming-the-moon stuff, the first full moon this month was called a “harvest moon,” meaning the full moon nearest the autumnal equinox that ushers in fall (Sept. 22).
And that means the Halloween full moon won’t just be a blue moon, it also will be a “hunter’s moon,” defined as the first full moon after a harvest moon.
