The Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) reported that recent samples of mosquitoes collected in Pittsburgh’s West End tested positive for West Nile virus.
The ACHD will treat West End neighborhoods with a mosquito pesticide from 8-10 p.m.
on July 27 to lower the local mosquito population and minimize the risk of human transmission.
