Jean Smart introduces 'courageous' son Forrest at Emmys 2021 - Page Six

Jean Smart is one proud mama.

The 70-year-old actress introduced her son Forrest at the 2021 Emmy Awards as they walked the red carpet together Sunday.

She later thanked Forrest, 13, and her older son, Connor, while accepting the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in “Hacks.”.

She also tearfully thanked her husband, Richard Gilliland, who died in March after a brief illness.

The “Designing Women” alum and Gilliland, who was an actor, welcomed Connor, 31, in 1989 and adopted Forrest from China in 2009.

Smart, who looked gorgeous in a Ralph Lauren gown, was verklempt over the sweet response and admitted she felt guilty for being away working, which prompted Forrest to say, “It was OK.”
