As we get closer to the release of Kirby and the Forgotten Land on the Nintendo Switch, more details are being revealed.

It appears to be Kirby's biggest Switch game so far (in terms of size).

Super Mario Odyssey (a game this latest Kirby outing has been compared to) is 5.6GB!

In Kirby's new game, players will explore a mysterious world, unlock special abilities and encounter all sorts of enemies.

Just good compression tech, when companies are releasing games on Blu-ray etc, they get used to 50GB to play with, Switch carts/cards do not afford developers this luxury.

It always surprises me a bit how small most Switch games are when PS4/PS5 games are absolutely colossal.

Ever since the N64 and GCN days Nintendo has been all about texture and sound compression.

This will be the biggest surprise of the year in gaming if will prove itself to be as as big, polished and fun to play as Super Mario Odyssey

@Octane Yeah, lol...I keep saying that and everyone's like "Naw man, this is an open world game!" or "This will be a sandbox -like game like Odyssey!"...and I'm just...sighing and facepalming

But yeah I knew it would be like 3D Land/World from the first trailer, actually
