Los Angeles protest erupts over George Floyd death; American flag burned, Hwy 101 blocked

Four Minneapolis police officers were fired following George Floyd's death; Mike Tobin reports.

Protesters in Los Angeles temporarily blocked Highway 101 and clung to a California Highway Patrol cruiser during a downtown demonstration Wednesday over the death of George Floyd.

-- as well as in other cities across the nation -- to show outrage over Floyd's death in police custody.

"When I saw the video of George Floyd getting murdered in cold blood, I've never felt anything like that in my life, man," one of the protesters told Los Angeles's KABC-TV.

At least one protester was injured and received medical attention after falling off the police vehicle as it drove away, the Los Angeles Times reported.
