Mariah Carey shades viral 'Shake it Off' remix on Twitter, Questlove intervenes - USA TODAY

Grammy-winning artist Mariah Carey responded on Twitter to an uncleared remix of her song "Shake it Off." Questlove came to the rescue.

New Music Friday includes Shawn Mendes' album "Wonder," a new Ant Clemons and Justin Timberlake song plus remixes from The Weeknd and Mariah Carey!

Rapper YTK released his song "Let if Off" Friday which uses an uncleared sample of Carey's 2005 hit song "Shake it Off" from her album "The Emancipation of Mimi." The rapper posted the video on Twitter and received more than 3,200 retweets.

"Mariah Carey has 24 hours to respond," @rnbtommy wrote, quote tweeting the video.
