State health officials confirmed another 3,224 coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number of active cases statewide to 41,439.

Wednesday’s case figure is based on 129,833 new molecular tests and due to a technological issue reflects up to 30 hours of data, the Department of Public Health said on its daily dashboard.

In Boston, officials said they would not move forward with Step 2 of Phase 3 of the state’s reopening plan, but added that they saw a decline in coronavirus cases across the city over last week.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh on Wednesday said the community COVID-19 positivity rate declined to 4% citywide the week ending in Nov.

Augustus said restaurant seating will continue to be no more than six people per table, with bar seating prohibited.

“Honestly in good conscience I can’t allow Worcester to advance to this step given the sharp increases we’re seeing both in the COVID positive rates and in the increased hospitalizations,” Augustus said.

The state will soon be rolling out rapid testing in long-term care facilities, Health and Human Services Secretary Marylou Sudders said Monday.
