Peter Jackson Considered Hypnosis to Forget the Lord of the Rings Movies - IGN - IGN

The Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson really wanted to forget making those movies.

“When we did The Lord of the Rings movies I always felt I was the unlucky person who never got to see as a coming-out-of-the-blue film,” he said.

Jackson was instrumental in bringing The Lord of the Rings to the big screen, starting with The Fellowship of the Ring in 2001.

Thankfully, he didn’t go through with it and still remembers making the Lord of Rings films… and Amazon, who made the upcoming Lord of the Rings show The Rings of Power were all too aware of his contributions, too.
