Launch games.

It feels like an age has passed since the PlayStation 5 was revealed?

We don't have a price.

We don't even know what the console's launch lineup of games looks like.

What are the specifics of backwards compatibility.

Mass production of the system has already started, giving the firm just a handful of months to detail everything that we need to know.

It want to know about Playstation plus.

I think launch games would be of most interest to me though!

I only want to know if my ps1 and 2 discs will work.

But I kinda want to know this before I preorder as other than that I don’t need a disc drive as all my gaming this gen has been downloaded via the store and I already have a decent UHD player.

I would like to know absolutely everything about it.

@Ridwaano i don't think Sony needs a subscription because they make so much money selling their games!

They already show games, so now i want to know: Price.

I do want to know how it will match or surpass Microsoft's Backwards compatibility, I hope they don't half-ass it and do take it seriously.

Price > release date > launch games.

Stuff like the UI I can figure out when I pick up the machine.

Everything else I need to know before hand.

I don't believe for a second that they're going to opt for PS3 pricing when one of their biggest markets is teetering on the edge of an economic depression.

I would like details on how it'll run PS4 games, though.

I already have ideas and expectations for Price (£500) , Release Date (November) and Launch Games (some already revealed).

Launch games would probably be a close second everything else isn't really as critical for me personally?

is the only thing left I need to know?

(BC) It will play close to all PS4 games.

I own a PS4 pro don't really need it.

(PS Plus) would be nice to know details, but I can cancel if I do not like it!

Whilst price is a fairly obvious one, I'd like to hear a bit more on the features. How is the b/c feature going to work, &/or if existing games may need patching. Own a fair few indies so like to know they'll work. Also about possible enhanced modes or not. Not expecting anything beyond ps4 b/c but would be a bonus..

I want to know if one will be made in Black..

We all know the price will be revealed sooner or later. If you plan on being an early adopter you should've saved money in advance. If that wasn't possible for you, then being an early adopter may not be wisest decision..

Price or release date as I don’t care. I just want to preorder it.?

Backwards compatibility for me. I want to know if I can play PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 games on it. I know that I will be able to play PS4 games, but this just isn't enough for me. I have never had a PS3, I want to play many PS3 exclusives which have not been ported to PS4..

Sony already said it will be up to developers to patch old games - I can't imagine a lot of them will be up for that to be honest. While MS do it themselves and have added machine learning to the tool set to automatically add features like HDR..

Your PS4 games - unless patched might get a small frame rate boost but most frame rates are locked so will just smooth it out. If a game has dynamic resolution then that will almost certainly max out too and your loading times will likely be lower across the board..

@skaarj217 it would be an massive mic drop moment if they said they were doing that but given that it doesn't sound like all the PS4 games are going to work at launch I don't see the others working. No way they have tested all those games on this hardware..

I NEED PS3 BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY.

Price, launch games, launch date.2

Launch games. We know PS5 is coming out eventually, so next best thing is launch games imo. Price will go down eventually!.

Scratch PSVR from the list and Sony need to show all of the above really. Microsoft too. We need to know launch dates, and we need to know launch price clearly, by August we'll be roughly 3 months away from launch, we normally know this stuff way before then. We also need to see the console in use, how will the UI work, what sort of experience will we have when turning the thing on and in day-to-day use? We also need to see the launch line up of games, and then to see far more of those games in detail. I don't think that's a big ask from consumers really..

You know I need to know that price lol.

Backwards compatibility. If it won't play every PS4 game I have, I'm not getting it. I don't have room for another console in my entertainment center..

Price is the biggest factor for me. Backwards compatibility is another big point for me. If it's guaranteed to play all my PS4 games without issue, then I'll be much more likely to trade in my old console. Then there's backwards compatibility with older consoles. I'm guessing that won't happen since all the rumours about it have long gone silent, but being able to play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games would be a big deal to me at least..

Just PS Plus info, my PS4 isn't going anywhere anytime soon, but i'd like to add PS5 games to my library like i did while i didn't own my PS4.

5) Can I just use my PS4 external USB hard drive with PS4 games on the PS5.

I want price, but I also want to know if/when a PS5 Remote Play App is going to be available.

We all know its coming sometime in November, just need to figure out the price tho.

Of those options, I most want clarity on the backwards compatability situation, or lack thereof.

I realistically won't be getting a PS5 until 2022, so I don't really care what the launch price, date or titles are, as they're all irrelevant to my own next-gen timeline3

What I want to know is how thorough the BC will be.

I don't play most of the mega popular franchises.

I want to know if my collection of indie titles will run AND, probably more importantly, if I can access them through the PS Store on PS5 - or do only disc-based PS4 games work on PS5.

My PS4 collection is probably 60/40 digital to physical and I want to know what my options are down the road.

I just want to know when I can preorder.

I don't care for the price - it's not like ANY of my monthly wages or bonuses can accommodate that of a big-ass home console at a time, let alone a new-gen with blackjack and SSD.

Wanna know about backwards compatibility and upgrades for the latest exclusives (GoT, TLoU2, DS, etc.).

I really want a full launch list of games.

I seriously just don't understand people's affection for GamePass.

I'm not saying there isn't some good stuff on there, but outside of their first party stuff, the selection is mostly just indie's and bargain bin games.

I can buy physical copies, play them and sell them online, and usually break even or not be out much more than $10, while also playing whatever game I want to play.

Just like the Nvidia 3080 and AMD Big NAVI launch.

@Medic_Alert It would also be a massive sound of back pedaling for those people that claim nobody wants to play old games on new hardware that they've been spouting for 7 long years.

I'll be buying both day one if I can get a pre order in, so it's all about the games from there on...

Launch games and launch window games I’d like to know please?

Does not need to be a subscription like Gamepass.

More like they need to increase the value of âž• plus.

Or remove the need to be online like xbox maybe going to do.

As far as them maybe removing the need for gold, they might but the new requirement for online play would be gamepass no doubt.

If you think the PS5 can get round those things automatically then you don't know what you are talking about.

Yes, 4000 PS4 games will be playable but nowhere have they said that will be at launch.

if that's massively unappealing, then its price and when it's coming out are irrelevant to me?

don't really care about backwards compatibility (i'd be more interesting in it playing PS3 games than PS4 ones to be honest)..

@Medic_Alert this is not like Microsoft’s 360 backwards compatibility - they’re just going to work

And if you think you can, again you don't know what you are talking about

For me it's definitely the full scoop on backwards compatibility for PS4

If it's all PS4 games are playable and a lot are enhanced, then PS5 will be day one for me

Launch windows are generally very rough when it comes to new games so I feel backwards compatibility is the most needed info at this time

I just want them to pick up where the left off with the PS2 initiative

As far as the price goes I dont really care as long as it's not over 500 were good

@Medic_Alert There is a laundry list of 360 games that still aren't backwards compatible on Xbone

104 Xbox 360 games were BC at Xbone's launch

More just that full BC like they are boasting is a monsterous job

I'd play PS3 games on there, but I'm not even going to pretend like the cell was anything but a mess

I don't know what point you are trying to make though

Price I'm OK with unless it is PS3 level of prices, and launch games I'm not too bothered about as I've got a huge ps4 backlog which I'm confident a vast number will be payable

It just feels like a really nice feature to have in there for me even if it doesn't get used much

To be fair the main reason I want a release date, and I guess a price, is so that pre-orders can open and I can reserve one

I don't mind too much as long as I get it this year, but I don't know what logistics will be like given this is looking to be one of the most popular consoles on release (trying to remember where I saw the polls)

How are launch games so low on people's priorities

I don’t even see a game I’d want to play yet

For me it's more of a novelty than necessary

I really only care if it's full BC for PS4, just so I can own one box instead of two, and based on the way Cerny explained it, I'm pretty sure it is

They just did more generations

l want to know EVERYTHING

this new gen seems to be dragging now, l just want all the info available for xsx and ps5

I want price, backwards compatibility, UI features, new features, are you going to match Microsoft supposed free online

A UI demo, prices for extra storage (the new SSD, not HDD), and to know how it's going to handle things when you inevitably fill up that internal storage and have to put things on an external HDD

Would love to know more about backwards compatibility

Really want to hear about backwards compatibility, too

@Paranoimia you’ll be able to move games to HDD, I believe, just not play them from one

PS4 games should run from HDD just fine

I want to play a ton of PS4 games and I hope they will run better than ever

I chose launch games, as it's my biggest concern for the PS5

Honestly, I can't shake the feeling that both the PS5 & Series X just aren't ready to launch this year, or that they shouldn't

We just all need to know when we can play Bugsnax and we're good
