Poll: Will You Be Buying The Cloud Version Of Hitman 3 On Nintendo Switch? - Nintendo Life

Another cloud game has today launched on the Nintendo Switch.

The Switch eShop application is a free download - allowing you to test out the connection before you actually buy the game.

Cloud gaming obviously isn't at the point yet where it's the best way to play, but without this technology, games like this one arguably wouldn't even be available (or necessarily playable) on Nintendo's hybrid device.

There are also some other hurdles like the fact cloud gaming isn't available in every country just yet and that select games may not hang around forever.

With all this in consideration, we want to know if you'll be buying this latest cloud release on the Nintendo Switch.

Cloud gaming on switch, to me, sounds pretty neat.

No, I have systems to play this on if I'm interested.

Even if I didn't, though, I don't really get on with cloud gaming.

I really don't like the concept.

Next time, add a choice for "I will never buy a cloud version of any game even with a game to my head".

I simply don't buy these versions of games when I actually have hardware that can run them better and natively.

no thanks i don't like the whole cloud gaming thing, if it ever becomes the norm then i will simply stop buying games and play what i already own.

I am not anti-cloud gaming at all, but once again, I couldn’t be less interested in the game being offered?

I don't mind digital download games but I try not to support cloud games.

If you can't port a game to Switch don't put it on Switch.

I think most people who do t like cloud gaming haven't really given it a chance.

I would buy the cloud version of if I was interested in the game at the first place.

Because I like game boxes.

It's not for everyone, I actually don't want us to go full cloud gaming m at the same time, I still enjoy cloud gaming.

I tried out the Cloud version earlier today, and the input lag measured in the full seconds, virtually unplayable sadly.

Would love to play Hitman on Switch, but for the internet speeds that I have access to, it's just not worth it at all.

Never buying into cloud gaming, and if I wanted to play this kind of game I wouldn't have picked the Switch as my sole gaming system.

Actually bought it for Switch since I really want a new Hitman, haven't touched the series since blood money.

Im not very impressed, and I will most probably not buy another cloud game after Im done with this game.

Further more, it shuts down plenty of times and isn't exactly fast to boot, as you have to go to a web site to boot it, not like the "real" Switch games.

Further more, sound glitching plenty of times, and graphics should in my opinion be next-gen standard except resolution when played on cloud, but textures and stuff in this Switch version seems to be at PS4 quality.

Having only Hitman 3 on Switch makes this version feel gimped?

From what I've heard, this game alongside Hitman 1&2 complement eachother.

I'm somewhat fond of Cloud gaming, but having it on Switch seems to counter various aspects of what makes the Switch great.

If gaming really goes the way of the cloud I’m done.

No, I won’t; in fact I will never support cloud gaming on the switch, period.

Unless the graphics are mind blowing or the online community is incredible, I don’t like the requirement of being tethered to a high speed connection at all times to run the game.

I wouldn't pay for this, I enjoyed the Control demo but the switch is for playing anywhere you want, even if you are near the servers you cannot go and play it somewhere else where you have no good wifi, it really kills the soul of the switch, which for me is play wherever the hell you want lol, I think buying this really sends the wrong message to the devs, let's buy games like doom eternal, they really made an amazing and graphically demanding game into a portable divice without sacrificing much.

The future i will never support cloud gaming.

I have no opposition to cloud gaming; I picked up Control earlier last year and was happy with it, but just not interested in the Hitman games.

No, i will not buy cloud based Games.

@th3r3ds0x or it's about Switch being too weak to run the game and this is the best and only option!

I like the game, i love switch but i am a cloud gaming hater for several reasons.

Cloud gaming is a good idea in principle, but the main issue is that we don't know for how long we will be able to play the game.

If they did it like a rental service, where you pay a certain amount of money per month, I'd be interested.

Love cloud gaming but I'm not interested in this game?

I've enough to play on Switch and Stadia as it is.

@th3r3ds0x being able to play the game at all benefits the customer.

If I only own Switch I'd have no access to this game!

You'd rather I have no access at all than have the choice to play a cloud version.

Vita can still stomach it on quite a few occasions, but I don't expect any cloud Switch game, especially with the lack of hardware limitations likely tempting the respective devs to flex the product's LES GRAFIQUES muscle, to have an option to run in Vita's resolution.

Like I've said before, Switch can decently run a lot more than the fandom's first world definitions of "decently" would have you believe, but if the devs or publishers themselves don't feel at peace with the work, budget or compromises required, just better luck next gen.

I will not be buying the Cloud Version Of Hitman 3 On Nintendo Switch.

You should split the “not interested” option into “not interested in Hitman 3” and “not interested in Cloud games” - which is definitely not the same as “cloud isn’t available in my region”.

I would of purchased but €89.99 for a cloud game.

Cloud gaming is a blight on the gaming community, its just a money sink that is renting a game, not owning it.

You're getting to play the full game.

Hitman is great, but I don't want to deal with the issues from cloud gaming.

Nope because cloud gaming is not real gaming.

If I buy Hitman 3, it’ll be on PS4 or my preordered PS5 (which arrives in March), but I’ll certainly try the tester on Switch later today.

If I like it, I’ll get it on PlayStation as I’ve never played a Hitman game before...

Is not about having the stuff in physical, is about quality, options and fun; People get use to have the game on physical like me, but cloud gaming will be a forced future as any streaming service, and I wish they use that convenience to make a better job in the final product.

I love having my physical games but don't talk like if Cloud Gaming is someting bad, is just different and is not polished yet.

Nope, because I'm not interested in the game.

But if there was a game I wanted coming to the cloud, I'd probably get it.

I like those games the first mission and then they collect dust on the shelf.

you don't need any type of subscription when you buy a cloud game, so it's definitely not a rental.

Same here, not supporting cloud Gaming.

This is so cheap, Switch could never run this game.

The only way I'd ever consider cloud gaming is if there was an option to rent a game for a week for £5?

It gives the publishers complete control over how, when and how long you can play their games.

This is impossible with Cloud Gaming, the publishers will eventually decide to take the game off the servers and when they do, you'll realise the problem with this entire concept.

I don't even like wasting money on digital games

I barely bought Hitman Definitive Edition, so I need to play that and Hitman 2 first anyway..

I think it's a "problem" beyond the cloud gaming land

I'm not going to pay 59 or 69 euros, just for not being able to play it after 6-7 years when the switch servers will be down

On the other hand, with streaming acquires, if the server turns off, you can no longer play thw game you've bought

I would prefer a streaming service on Switch rather than a pay per game model

Pretty much every game requires some form of download to work effectively nowadays, so if the servers shut down for those (like people are scared of with cloud games) then your precious discs or cartridges would be just as unplayable as a cloud game

Nope, I'm not interested (in anything cloud)

Cloud gaming is a good idea for subscription stuff, but I don't like the idea of investing in a game that will effectively disappear as soon as copies stop selling and the servers are turned off

never, i hate cloud game first, and second my connection is a ***** anyway, i tried out of curiosity control demo and was running with an horrible controls lag make unplayable

@th3r3ds0x Each to their own, but if the options are you cannot play this game at all or you can only play a cloud version of this game then I would choose the 2nd option all day long

I'm getting to play games I would never have had the chance to thanks to cloud gaming

I have an Xbox One but I dont get to play it as much as i would like, being able to play on cloud gives me more ways to play these big games (TV, phone, PC browser, tablet) so I'm more likely to give them a go

If I wanted to play the game badly enough, I find another way

As good as my XBox One runs games locally without having to worry about downloading big game files, patches and storage

@th3r3ds0x I don't think cloud gaming will ever pass out local console/pc gaming

I prefer to play against friends in person than online, you could say cloud friends, but like online gaming cloud gaming and the end of physical media is coming like it or not
