The Senate will vote Wednesday on a $500 billion relief bill to help keep the US economy afloat during the coronavirus pandemic.
The vote is expected to fail but is part of a plan from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to put Democrats in a tough spot ahead of the November election
The legislation spans 285 pages and is an updated version of the $300 billion bill the Senate brought up on September 10, which failed 52-47 in the upper chamber because Democrats said it was insufficient.
