Sony brings a compact, flagship smartphone to the US - Ars Technica

At just 68 mm wide, the Xperia 5 III is one of the most compact Android phones on the market.

Although it ships with Android 11, an Android 12 update is due sometime soon.

After seeing LG throw in the towel on Android after years of suffering, you have to wonder about Sony's future in the market.

Sony's mobile division did post its first profitable quarter in a long time in April 2021, but the news is not all positive; the profitability was also on some of its lowest phone shipments in years.

Still, though, a compact Android phone is here if you want one.
