— Spokane County is "very close" to surpassing the COVID-19 health metrics needed to stay in Phase 3 of Washington's reopening plan, Interim Health Officer Dr.

“The trends we are seeing with COVID-19 case counts and hospitalizations is [sic] concerning as we are very close to surpassing the necessary metrics that will allow us to remain in phase three of the Healthy Washington plan,” Velazquez said in a press release.

Any county that fails one or more of the health metrics outlined by the state will move back one phase, Inslee previously announced.

The number of new coronavirus cases per 100,000 people in Spokane County was 187 from March 21 to April 3, according to data provided by SRHD on Tuesday.
