After months of speculation, leaks, and rumors, Nintendo has finally announced the 3D Super Mario Bros.
Announced during a surprise Nintendo Direct celebrating the plumber's 35th anniversary, Super Mario 3D All-Stars releases September 18 on Nintendo Switch for $60, and it's available to preorder now.
Super Mario 3D All-Stars bundles three iconic Mario games: Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy.
Super Mario Sunshine has a 16:9 aspect ratio, rumble support, and soundtrack browsing, while Super Mario Galaxy is playable in a higher resolution than the original.
Super Mario 3D All-Stars will only be available to purchase until March 31, 2021, and the physical edition may sell out even sooner.
It's the same strategy being used for Super Mario Bros.
The limited run is somewhat similar to what Nintendo did for Mario's 25th anniversary by re-releasing Super Mario All-Stars for Wii.
Super Mario 3D All-Stars is just one of several new Mario games for Switch announced during the Direct.
