The future of the Alamo Drafthouse in the Mission is in jeopardy - SFGate

As a consequence, three of its locations will close, including the flagship Alamo Drafthouse Ritz in Austin, as well as theaters in Kansas City, MO and New Braunfels, TX.

Alamo's founder and executive chairman Tim League did express optimism in the press release, stating that by the conclusion of the year he expects the company's future will look bright.

“Because of the increase in vaccination availability, a very exciting slate of new releases, and pent-up audience demand, we're extremely confident that by the end of 2021, the cinema industry – and our theaters specifically – will be thriving,” said League.
