UK Scalper Group Claims It's Snagged 3500 PS5 Consoles - Push Square

PS5 stock is borderline impossible to find right now, and consoles are selling for over £1,000/$1,500 on eBay – significantly more than Sony’s recommended retail price.

After a couple of bad experiences trying to order, to find out that people are buying for the sole reason to resell or smash them on YouTube is really disheartening.

I wonder if Sony will make any changes going forward to avoid this.

Like maybe implement captcha on their site and not give stock to any retailer who doesn’t use it.

but i guess these people would still find some way to sell them regardless.

I’m just gonna have to be patient here when Sony can get more in stock.

The people buying these things at such an insane inflated prices are just as much to blame as the scalpers..

If people are willing to pay then why not

It's not an essential it, no one needs a ps5 right at launch, and it lets people make easy money, and what's wrong with that, wages for the average person is terrible, gotta find a way to make some extra income taking advantage of people who are impatient or have a lot of money

If people stop buying off them, then they will be stuffed ending up with stock they cannot sell
