Before he was internationally known as the creator of The Walking Dead and the television series based on it, Robert Kirkman was comics-world known as the writer behind Invincible, a long-running indie superhero epic drawn by artist Cory Walker.
In Invincible, Kirkman and Walker took the idea of Superman and ran long with it, with a story about the teenage son of a superpowerful alien superhero growing into his own powers, becoming a superhero himself, and discovering that his alien culture is (spoiler for an almost 20-year-old comic series?) not as nice as his dad has let on.
The animated series Invincible will premiere March 26 on Amazon Prime, with a stacked cast.
