Clark is the future commander of Rainbow, the secret multinational counter-terrorist unit that’s central to Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six series of video games, and Without Remorse serves as an origin story for Clancy’s enduring action hero.

Without Remorse is based on the 1993 novel of the same name, and tells the story of John Kelly — the character’s original name — who uncovers an international conspiracy while on a revenge-fueled mission.

John Clark was central in the follow-up to Without Remorse, 1998’s Rainbow Six, and has appeared in dozens of Clancy novels, TV shows, and games.
