Here’s where Omicron has been found in Ontario

Ontario has reported a crop of new cases of Omicron since the COVID-19 variant was first identified last month.

Omicron was identified in the GTA last week, with both Halton and Durham public health units confirming cases last Thursday.

Toronto is investigating the city’s first suspected school-related Omicron case after a child there tested positive for COVID-19, just as the province is seeing a record number of outbreaks in schools.

On Wednesday, Ontario reported 10 new cases of Omicron for a cumulative total of 31 cases

The following public health units in Ontario now have confirmed Omicron cases:

7 and does not include COVID cases that are currently under investigation by local public health units as suspected Omicron cases
