Carnegie Mellon University to require students to be vaccinated for COVID-19, effective this fall semester - WTAE Pittsburgh

"Consistent with scientific evidence on the importance of vaccine adoption to control spread of the virus, to the extent permissible by law, Carnegie Mellon University will require all enrolled students to be vaccinated for COVID-19, effective this fall semester," the university's website said.

Students who talked with Pittsburgh's Action News 4, welcome the announced mandate, "I think it's a good very good idea to make sure everyone is prepared and ready for the next semester," says Mateo Hernandez.

Layla Malha is another student in favor of the vaccination mandate, "I think it's a great idea.
