IDPH announces states first case of P.1 COVID-19 variant - KCCI Des Moines
The P.1 COVID-19 variant was originally found in Brazil and Japan.State health officials said they're still learning about the characteristics of the strain.
The variant was discovered in Johnson County by the State Hygienic Lab.
