Iowa surpasses 225,000 positive COVID-19 cases, 130,000 recoveries - KCCI Des Moines
The Iowa Department of Public Health reported 2,239 new COVID-19 cases and 11 additional deaths in the state Saturday.As of 10 a.m., the health department reported 225,783 total positive cases, 130,007 total recoveries and 2,360 total deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.The state reported 223,544 total cases and 2,349 total deaths the previous day.
The state received 4,834 individual lab test results in the previous day, with 928 positive cases.
Hospitalization analysis shows 910 patients were hospitalized with a primary COVID-19 diagnosis, while 311 were hospitalized for another reason but tested positive for the virus.
