Without a Star Wars movie in December, the release times are a bit more obvious.

Last October, The Mandalorian became an overnight phenomenon, launching Disney Plus to necessary, zeitgeist-worthy heights.

With basically no major releases in its way, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Lucasfilm and Disney Plus will be able to release the second season of the Star Wars live-action series without interruption.

According to Disney Plus sources, new episodes of The Mandalorian are expected to premiere on the service every Friday “shortly after” 12 a.m.
