Netflix pulls 'Chappelle's Show' at Dave Chappelle's request - NBC News

LOS ANGELES — Netflix has removed Dave Chappelle's comedy sketch series "Chappelle's Show" after the comedian requested them to do so.

"They (ViacomCBS) didn't have to pay me because I signed the contract," Chappelle said in the video.

That's why I like working for Netflix?

I like working for Netflix because when all those bad things happened to me, that company didn't even exist.

The removal news comes around three weeks after the show started streaming on Netflix, and only a couple weeks after Chappelle called out both Netflix and HBO Max for streaming his show when hosting the "Saturday Night Live" episode right after the election

"If he could see me now, he'd probably be like, 'This n--- got bought and sold more than I have,'" Chappelle said on "SNL."
