Sony Reportedly Stopped McDonald's From Bringing Out a PS5 Controller - IGN

As it turns out, the McDonald's PlayStation 5 DualSense controller was never actually meant to be advertised in the first place.

This is in addition to the previous statement from the company about Sony PlayStation not authorizing the use of its controller in promotional materials.

Despite the mock-up design, Sony PlayStation and McDonald's Australia have no official partnership on the controller, which is bad news for folks looking to grow their DualSense collection.

As reported by Press Start, the stream week set to include the controller giveaways was suddenly postponed, and McDonald's confirmed that, when it does happen, fast food-themed DualSense controllers will not be a part of the celebrations anymore.

"McDonald’s stream week has been postponed and Sony PlayStation controllers will not be included in the giveaway.”.
