Ubisoft claims 9 of its PS4 games won’t work on PS5, outside of Sony’s 10-game exclusion list - Video Games Chronicle

Publisher says titles including Assassin’s Creed Syndicate are not backward compatible.

UPDATE: Ubisoft said it has removed the Connect article because there “may be inaccuracies” regarding PS5 backwards compatible games.

It’s currently unclear whether the Ubisoft games listed above run on PS5 with sub-par performance or are not playable on the console, but we’re checking with the publisher.

Ubisoft said that on Xbox Series X/S, all its Xbox One games are backward compatible.

Microsoft said this week that all Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One games playable on Xbox One today—excluding those that require Kinect—will be available on its next-gen consoles when they launch on November 10.
